Это бывает вдали от всего — в море пустынь или в пустыне моря. Встает огромное обжигающее слепящее солнце. И оно — ложное. Под ним можно жить, пока оно не пропадет, по нему можно пытаться выстроить маршрут — и потеряться, потому что оно не живет координатами нашей реальности.

Сто лет и один год назад будетляне выступили против солнца железного века — и победили его. «Конца не будет!» А что будет? Для направленного движения нужен ориентир. Какое солнце поднялось над горизонтом? Прежнее или придуманное теми потерянными, которые живут в мире распоротого силачами занавеса?

Палящий зной не дает возможность четко видеть окружающее. Мираж светила возможен только там, где не на что опереться, где трудно видеть — и жажда света так велика, что прельститься можно любым обещанием, любым убеждением, любыми словами, так сильна потребность заполнить пустоту вокруг.

В пораженной вселенной будущего темно без новых будетлян. Далеко в этой темноте не уйдешь. Как понять, что восход станет реален? Трудно ориентироваться в мире победы над солнцем.

It happens far from everything — in a sea of deserts or in a desert of the sea. A huge, scorching, blinding sun rises. And it is false. You can live under it until it disappears, you can try to build a route along it — and get lost, because it does not live by the coordinates of our reality.

One hundred and one year ago, the Budetlyans rose up against the sun of the Iron Age — and defeated it. "There will be no end!" And what will happen? A landmark is needed for directed movement. Which sun rose above the horizon? The old one or the one invented by those lost ones, the False sun?

The scorching heat does not allow you to clearly see the surroundings. A mirage of a luminary is possible only where there is nothing to rely on, where it is difficult to see — and the thirst for light is so great that you can be seduced by any promise, any conviction, any words, so strong is the need to fill the emptiness around.

In the stricken universe of the future, it is dark without new Budetlyans. You cannot go far in this darkness. How do you know that the sunrise will become real? It is difficult to navigate the world of victory over the sun.
